The Two Criteria Essential to Any EFFECTIVE Workplace Investigation with Deanna Rader of of Rader Mayrose, LLP

Think back to the last time you conducted a workplace investigation.  What was the goal of that investigation?  To determine whether the allegations had merit?  To determine the legal risk for the company?  Did you achieve that goal?  It’s odd to think of goals in relation to workplace investigations; however as our perceptions around work change from an authoritative to a collaborative environment, it’s important to recognize the primary goal of a workplace investigation is to identify underlying culture and workplace issues within our businesses.  This is truly the ONLY way to minimize risk for our companies, and employees.  So, what should we do when we feel something in our workplace may be off; however lack any concrete evidence of wrongdoing?  Is there ever a situation in which we can share investigation details with claimants and witnesses?  How can we, as HR professionals, better communicate workplace investigation findings & recommendations to executives to gain their support in addressing deep-rooted culture issues threatening our business?

On November 19th, Deanna Rader of Rader Mayrose, LLP presents on The Two Criteria Essential to Any EFFECTIVE Workplace Investigation.  Ms. Rader is a founding partner of Rader Mayrose, LLP. Her practice emphasizes advising clients in a wide variety of matters, including risk assessment, company investigations, discrimination, employment contracts, sexual harassment, disability, retaliation, misappropriation of trade secrets, enforcement and defense of post-employment restrictive covenants, policy development, employee training, reductions in force, wage-and-hour disputes, and compliance issues, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and Title VII. Ms. Rader is an experienced litigator, representing and defending employers in state and federal court.
